Windows shortcuts and useful things

Shortkeys

Win + L - Locks the computer

Shift + Ctrl + Enter - Opens application as admin

Win + Pause - Opens System Properties

Ctrl + W - Closes current window

Ctrl + Shift + Esc - Brings up task manager

Ctrl + Shift + T - Restores closed tabs in Chrome

Win + Arrow keys - Arrange windows neatly on your screens. Also moves 'hidden windows' from outside of your screens' visual range back into your screen.

Win + R - Brings up run box

Win + E - Brings up Explorer

Command Line

whoami - Shows the user you're logged in as

hostname - Shows the hostname

getmac - Shows MAC addresses

| clip - Copy's the output to the clipboard

systeminfo | find "Boot Time" - Shows system boot time

Shortcuts

(pretty much everything in control panel is .cpl)

ncpa.cpl - In run box brings up Network Connections

sysdm.cpl - In run box brings up System Properties

appwiz.cpl - In run box brings up Add/Remove Programs

mstsc - In run brings up RDP

devmgmt.msc - In run brings up Device Manager
